Upcoming Events! We are looking for places to show the film of the 1956 National AAU Championship game between the Buchan Bakers and the Phillips Oilers in the Puget Sound area.  As soon as we have something lined up, we will announce it on this website. In October 2004, we had 30 people for our first showing of the film at the Bellevue Regional Library.  Among attendees were Bud Howard, the man who guided the Buchan Bakers through its 13 year history, as founder, player-coach and general manager of the team. From left, Robin Buchan, Warren "Bud" Howard, and Bruce Kitts Another attendee was Chet Noe, who played for both the Buchan Bakers during the 1953-54 season and the Phillips Oilers during the 1955-56 season.  Noe was injured at the time of the National AAU Tournament and did not play.
